SAKURA - Japanese cherry blossoms

Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London

took part the RHS "the year of gardening"

Cherry blossom is a symbol of ephemeral beauty, and a significant aesthetic in Japan.

Images taken within 10 days by the artist - from one just beginning to bloom to one of fallen petals on the surface of the lake show not only the beauty of cherry blossom, but emphasise how deeply the concept of it is rooted in Japanese culture.

The exhibition generously supported by The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation and The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation.
